Former Atlanta Falcons tight end, Michael Palmer, has signed with the New York Giants. Palmer, known as a blocking TE, played for the Falcons for the past three seasons. Appearing in 43 games and catching 21 passes. Even if he carries little value in the passing game, the Giants love to run and having another offensive lineman on the end could an important position on this team.
It’s worth noting that newcomer, Brandon Myers from Oakland, while an excellent receiver, is hardly much of a blocker. Palmer has a good chance to make the team if he can take the field for special teams.

According to ProFootballTalk.com, the reason free agent defensive end John Abraham has had a hard time finding a new team is because he still wants to be a full time player, while many teams don’t view him as one.

The Falcons rushing game took a step back in 2012. Some of that was because the Falcons were more dedicated to the passing game under new offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter. The Falcons ran the ball 75 less times (or around 4.6 times less per game). The Falcons also decreased in yards per carry from 4.0 to 3.7.
Michael Turner took the biggest step back as he went from...

He has played for the Texans (2008-10) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2010-2011). He was a standout at the University of Texas. Palmer, a Clemson product, played in 43 regular-season games with...

what’s held up the agreement. According to Pro Football Talk, Abraham’s demands
for extended playing time appear to be holding of the completion of a contract.
