PLAYERS: Bart Scott
TEAMS: New York Jets

Conor Orr reports that former Jets LB Bart Scott  is “drawing interest from a few teams,” and expects to be healthy by May. Rich Cimini tweets that the Bills, Chiefs and Ravens could all have interest in signing Scott once healthy. Scott, 32, was one of a number of players that were released by the Jets earlier in the week. There was some talk that Scott was scheduled to meet with the Jets at the Combine, but they obviously made the decision to free up some additional cap space. It’s hard to say that Scott is going to be impact player for any team in the coming years, but he could be a bargain in free agency for teams that are in need of help stopping the run. Jets to ‘shop’ Tim Tebow at Combine

The New York Jets reportedly are expected to "shop" backup quarterback Tim Tebow during the NFL Scouting Combine this week.

WELL, ISN'T THAT SPECIAL?

Tim Tebow cancels church appearance

Citing "new information," Tim Tebow took to Twitter to announce that he has canceled his scheduled appearance at the controversial First Baptist Dallas Church.

Tim Tebow Cancels Appearance at Controversial Church

The football world may be closing in on Tim Tebow, but the rest  of the planet still seems to love the good-natured guy. However, after he agreed to speak at a Dallas-area church that is known for its controversial views on homosexuality among many things (like claiming Islam encourages pedophiles to do what they do) you had to start to wonder if the skeleton was coming out of the...

Tebow backs out of Dallas church visit

It seems that Tim Tebow has spent more time so far this offseason speaking at church events then working on his deep routes. But the Tebow Tour 2013 won't be making one of his scheduled stops. The New York Jets quarterback has backed out of an event at the First Baptist Dallas Church in April, Tebow announced on his Twitter account. The church is the home of pastor Robert Jeffress...

Jets’ GM say he’ll entertain offers for Revis, Rex denies he’s available

Today’s New York Jets press conference at the NFL Scouting Combine was another example of just how dysfunctional they are.  Their new general manager John Idzik and head coach Rex Ryan are clearly not on the same page. Idzik was asked if the Jets entertain any trade offers for cornerback Darrelle Revis this offseason and he replied by saying they will “always field calls....

Jets May Have A Hard Time Securing “Fair Value” For CB Darrelle Revis

According to Bart Hubbuch of the New York Post, the Jets may have a hard time securing “fair value” for DB Darrelle Revis if they do fielding trade offers for him this offseason.  GM John Idzik and HC Rex Ryan both downplayed the idea that Revis was on the trading block, but neither one of them denied that he could be available. Hubbuch adds that the salary cap could be the...

Richard Sherman Holds Crown of King of Shutdown Cornerbacks Over Darrelle Revis

You may not like Richard Sherman, or his big mouth, but his play on the field backs up all the trash talk he serves out. Darrelle Revis, however, is tired of all the talk. On Wednesday, the Jets cornerback took to Twitter in attempt to shut up Sherman. This whole offseason Sherman has used stats to back up his case as the best shutdown cornerback in the NFL — and he’s making...

New York Jets Cut 5 Players to Clear Cap Space

Curious about what is going on in the Meadowlands? I’m sure the New York Jets players are, too, after a flurry of cuts in the past few days. Management decided they had to fix their money situation before the offseason progressed any further. As I reported before, the Jets came into the offseason over the salary cap by $23.1 million dollars. Among the most notorious, linebacker...

Jets to Shop Tim Tebow at Scouting Combine

Even with all the drama and hoopla that surrounds Tim Tebow, I would still be interested to see what would happened if he was giving the opportunity to start a full season. In the half season he started with the Broncos, it wasn’t always pretty, but he did lead them to wins and a playoff victory. Was that just a fluke or does he have a weird ability to win ugly? We might never...

Rex Ryan says Jets haven't discussed trading Darrelle Revis

Darrelle Revis wanted answers to reports that the New York Jets were looking to trade him.Thursday, coach Rex Ryan tried to give one -- to Revis and the rest of us. Ryan, speaking to the media at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, said the rumors "plain and simple" "were not accurate," noting that they surfaced before new general manager John Idzik even...

New York Jets 2013 Offseason Preview

The New York Jets have been making some waves this offseason, which isn’t anything new for a team coached by Rex Ryan. It seems he has toned down his usual bravado, likely a clear indication of how his team has been performing lately. After a disappointing 6-10 season, the Jets have a lot of work to do before they even think of heading back to the playoffs.   The post New York...

Turn On The Jets 12 Pack – Something Positive?!? Edition

When evaluating the New York Jets current situation it is easy to come off sounding abundantly negative all the time. We aren’t going to sugarcoat anything on this site, the team isn’t in a good situation right now and is sorely lacking in talent on both sides of the ball. There’s not much sense to providing false hope or hype to a roster in dire need of rebuilding. HOWEVER...

New York Jets Potential Draft Targets: Safety

In continuation with our positional breakdowns of potential NFL Draft prospects for the New York Jets, we turn our attention to a position in need of a substantial upgrade in terms of both starters and overall depth. Today, our draft team provides a breakdown of the top five potential safeties that could be selected by the Jets in April’s draft. These initial rankings are certainly...

Darrelle Revis & Richard Sherman Start A Twitter War

With NFL Combine this week it looks like the veterans in the NFL didn’t want the rookies to take up the whole spotlight. New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis and Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman go mano-a-mano in a war of words on Twitter. You may ask what started this beef and it was when Revis did not taking too kindly to what Sherman said on show ESPN 32. Revis...
