Former Green Bay Packer safety Nick Collins appears to be ready to make an NFL comeback. Collins posted the following tweets to his Twitter account Monday:Nickdapick36 is ready for action.— Nick Collins (@nickdapick36) February 3, 2014 Who's looking for a top notch free safety. This kid is ready to dominate #2014— Nick Collins (@nickdapick36) February 4, 2014According to NFL Around the League's Chris Wessling, the Packers cut Collins in 2011 because they weren't comfortable clearing him to play again.Collins underwent spinal fusion surgery in 2011. The surgery itself is similar to what Denver quarterback Peyton Manning underwent, with one major difference.  Manning's surgery was on the C5 vertebra, which controls the arms.  Collins' surgery was done in the C3-C4 area, higher up on the spine.
