Shawn Powell was Florida State’s first consensus All-American punter and the school’s all-time leader in multiple punting categories as a three-year starter for the Seminoles, before going undrafted in last years draft. Shawn led the Football Bowl Subdivision national leader with a 47-yard average as a senior and ranks fifth all-time in the Atlantic Coast Conference in career punting average (44.2 yards per punt). Well last night the former Seminole had a huge night on national television playing for the Buffalo Bills. Earlier this year the Buffalo Bills cut Brian Moorman their pro-bowl punter to pick up Powell, who had been in with the team before getting released earlier in the year. Powell has come in and been extremely impressive averaging over 40 yards a punt. Last night Powell had a great night of punting. He hit 5 of 7 punts inside the 20 and one at the 1 yard line, for a net of 40 yards.
