Kalen McCain, a 6-foot-1, 175-pound, safety from Durham, N.C., de-committed from Virginia Tech earlier this week. McCain, a 3-star prospect, has a new list of schools that he is considering and Louisville appears to be in the mix.
According to Jason Stamm of Rivals.com, Louisville and North Carolina State appear to be the two schools that are in the running for McCain’s services. He committed to Virginia Tech on April 7th just one day after attending the Hokie’s annual Jr. day. McCain wrote on Twitter Monday evening that he is “no longer a Hokie.”
The North Carolina native picked up an offer from Louisville in February and actually had the Cards as his runner up when committing to Virginia Tech. However, I don’t think its Louisville that led to McCain’s de-commitment. North Carolina State has made him a top priority in recent weeks.
