JSOnline:
If backup center Francisco Elson was trying to make a positive first impression in training camp, he succeeded as coach Scott Skiles said he played as well as anyone when the Bucks first started practicing.
"He played very well in our camp before the exhibition games," said Skiles. "That's why I kind of gave him the first look behind Andrew (Bogut) in the first handful of exhibition games."
Elson ended up averaging 10 minutes per game during the preseason as one of the backups to Bogut and he played as many as 15 minutes against Minnesota in the first exhibition game and 13 minutes against Houston in the fourth game. Elson averaged 16.6 minutes in the 59 regular-season games in which he played last season and could figure into the rotation again this season.
