(Eds: APNewsNow. Will be updated. With AP Photos.) By NOAH TRISTER AP Sports Writer Glenn Robinson III is making the adjustment to college look awfully easy for No. 2 Michigan.
A 20-point, 10-rebound effort against Iowa on Sunday was his first double-double - and after several energizing alley-oop dunks, it was impossible to ignore the 6-foot-6 freshman. The son of the former Purdue star with the same name, Robinson has been content to blend in quietly in his first season at Michigan, but that doesn't mean he isn't contributing.
Nicknamed ''Light Rob'' because of his ability to score and rebound without much fanfare, Robinson cedes most of the attention to standout point guard Trey Burke and talented scorer Tim Hardaway Jr.
A starter since the opening game, Robinson is averaging 12.5 points and shooting 59 percent from the field.
BEST OF MAXIM
From the moment Glenn Robinson III joined the Michigan basketball team, the freshman looked mature beyond his years on the court.
''There were some scrimmages early in the year, just intersquad scrimmages, he might not take a shot,'' coach John Beilein said. ''He just waits for the game to come to him and picks his spots.''
Robinson is making the...

Last week we had one of the early candidates for Dunk of the Year in the Big Ten from Jared Berggren, a senior from Wisconsin. This week, we may already have the Dunk of the Week - this time from a freshman - Michigan's Glenn Robinson II. If there's a better hustle dunk I'd love to know where it exists.
Glenn Robinson III had 14 points, including a pair of crucial dunks in the second half, and No. 2 Michigan equaled its best start to a season with a 62-47 victory over Nebraska on Wednesday night.
The Wolverines (16-0, 3-0 Big Ten) overcame their shakiest shooting performance in a while, holding the lead for the entire second half. The only other Michigan team to start 16-0 was...
The Michigan Wolverines looked out of sorts early Sunday afternoon against the visiting Iowa Hawkeyes. But, as more and more opposing teams are learning, it does not take long for the Maize and Blue to crank it up a few notches.
Michigan scored on its last 13 possessions of the first half to turn a close game into a laugher — the Wolverines led 46-35 at the break, then pulled away...
1) Glenn Robinson III creates his own shot
Those of us who remember watching high school highlight videos of Glenn Robinson III were less surprised by this play than those who have only seen him during his freshman year at Michigan. Robinson has found a niche for himself within Michigan’s offense as the coaching staff puts him at spots on the floor (mostly baseline area and in...

Glenn Robinson III: 9 (Last Week: 7.5)
Robinson continues to be one of the most efficient Wolverines on the roster: the freshman hasn’t shot below 50 percent from the field since Western Michigan in early December. Against Iowa, Robinson had perhaps the quietest double...
