It was erroneously reported Monday that Brewers closer Trevor Hoffman tied the Brewers' record for consecutive scoreless innings by a reliever to start a season with 18 2/3 innings. But a pitcher does not receive credit for a scoreless two-thirds of an inning if a run scores before the inning is done, which happened with Hoffman. Thus, he remained in third place on that list for the Brewers:
