Shooting guard Justin McKie of Irmo, the son of South Carolina’s all time leading scorer, B.J. McKie, announced a commitment to the South Carolina Gamecocks on Monday.McKie also considered Murray State and Wichita State and had several other offers, but when the chance came to play for the hometown program, he couldn’t let that pass. He is South Carolina’s third commitment for the 2013 class and as you see in the video he should do well for USC at the guard slot....

The University of South Carolina has announced that it will be wearing digital camouflage-themed uniforms when the football team plays Louisiana State University on Oct. 13. The Gamecocks, who are not known for their uniforms, have decided to go all-out in what will likely be the biggest game of their season.
The uniforms, which are inspired by military digital...
South Carolina football got good news today as Kelsey Griffin announced his intentions to commit to be a Gamecock. This comes on the heels of USC beating Georgia on the football field and just two weeks ago Griffin had pledged to be a Bulldog. Seems shunning UGa and going with USC is his choice and those that know recruiting feel he is a strong prospect that should do well on the...

How does South Carolina celebrate last Saturday's pistol-whipping of the Georgia Bulldogs? By donning camo alternate uniforms for this Saturday's road game against LSU this Saturday. The Gamecocks' "Battle" uniforms designed by Under Armour are to help promote the Wounded Warrior Project feature grey jerseys and camouflage pants. Yes, grey camo pants. How...
Never let it be said that South Carolina head football coach Steve Spurrier never lets an opening to mock a rival school go unwalked through. In his weekly press conference, The Old Ball Coach found a chance for a potshot at Clemson while talking about Saturday's road game against LSU. If you guessed this involves LSU and Clemson's dueling Death Valleys, you're 100% correct...
South Carolina will be wearing these camouflage infused uniforms this Saturday against LSU and I personally am not a big fan of them.I’m not the only one though, this is what Head Coach Steve Spurrier had to say; “It looks pretty good,” Spurrier said at the time. “We showed it to the players, and they liked it. Of course, they like anything a little different and fancy. I...

The Gamecocks (6-0, 4-0 Southeastern Conference) moved into the SEC and national title talks with Saturday night's 35-7 victory over the Bulldogs. South Carolina faces another stiff test this week when it travels to No. 9 LSU - where...
South Carolina OL Corey Robinson continues to show improvement each week for the Gamecocks. The redshirt sophomore has become a fixture on the South Carolina offensive line after struggling to find his way with the Gamecocks in his first two years at South Carolina.
South Carolina landed a big commitment from four-star defensive lineman Kelsey Griffin Wednesday morning. Griffin had narrowed down his choices between South Carolina and Georgia before choosing the Gamecocks.
Byron Jerideau has been an anchor on the inside of the South Carolina defensive line that is among the nation's elite. Jerideau injured his ankle in Saturday's win over Georgia and is questionable for Saturday's contest at LSU. If Jerideau can't go, J.T. Surratt would likely get the start.
The Gamecocks have come a long way under the guidance of Steve Spurrier. There have been some bumps along the road but he has the Gamecocks in the national championship talk and that should tell you right there that this is not the old South Carolina.
South Carolina had no shortage of highlights in their Saturday night rout massacre of Georgia, but Ace Sanders' 70 yard punt return was the best of the best. Sanders evaded at least seven Bulldogs on his way to the end zone, putting the Gamecocks up 21-0 in the first quarter and slamming the door on any Georgia comeback hopes.
