The win over Florida was an emotionally charged moment of truth for this football team. They needed to prove to themselves, and quite a few others, that they were worthy of the pre-season hype they received from all the so-called experts in the field. However, let’s not forget that there are still games left to play, and wins left to secure, before the fate of this Bulldog team’s SEC season is sealed. That’s right, they have to beat both Ole Miss and Auburn—neither of whom will be easy—before they actually punch their ticket to Atlanta. Before my fellow Dawg fans remind me of the facts—1) the Rebels will need to come into Sanford to beat the Dawgs and 2) the Tigers just got demolished by 40+ points…at home—let me say this: that means nada where this team is concerned. In much the same way they went from playing “grown man” football against Mizzou to Pillsbury Doughboy soft football in the weeks that followed, they are capable of slipping back into old habits now that the big game is...

Georgia Bulldogs: Aaron Murray is the Only Option, Folks

Apparently, the dismal first-half play of Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray has some concerned about whether or not he needs to start being yanked when things aren't clicking for him.

Georgia Bulldogs: A Picture Says a Thousand Words…

You won’t have to look far to find a ton of great post-game notes, recaps, or interview sound bites after the Bulldogs upset the BCS/SEC Championship-minded Florida Gators.  So, for the moment, I decided to only post a few pictures from last night’s win and leave it at that because, for the Bulldog Nation, all that matters is the scoreboard and the huge swell of pride that came...

The Georgia Bulldogs topped rival Florida 17-9 in Jacksonville Saturday. While both schools have agreed not to host recruits at the game, the recruiting implications of the Georgia victory still stand.'s Dean Legge and Amy Campbell discuss what the win means for the Bulldogs when it comes to recruiting.

Jarvis Jones strips UF’s Jordan Reed near goal line to seal victory for Georgia

Jarvis Jones is slated for one of the top picks in the 2013 NFL Draft. Jones is a consensus All-American and made the deciding play when he sealed the victory for the Georgia Bulldogs. After getting the first down with 2:22 left in the game and down by eight, Florida’s Jordan Reed, who had five catches for 74-yards, attempted to go airborne to get into the end-zone and tie the game...

No. 7 Georgia takes lead in SEC East race

ATLANTA -- When it comes to Georgia's consecutive wins against Florida, Mark Richt is more focused on the implications for this year's race in the Southeastern Conference than any historical significance. In fact, the coach seemed surprised Sunday when asked what it meant that his Bulldogs had beaten the Gators in two straight years for the first time since 1988-89. "...

Richt hopes Georgia defense plays 'mad' again

After underperforming through much of the season, Georgia's defense rose at the right time with a dominant performance in last week's win over Florida. The important 17-9 win over the previously undefeated Gators came after safety Shawn Williams said the defense had been playing soft. It was a dramatic turnaround after the Bulldogs allowed at least 20 points in six of their...

Georgia Bulldogs: Listen to Richt’s Sunday Teleconference

Listen to Mark Richt talk about the Florida game, the upcoming contest with Ole Miss, and what he feels his teams chances are the rest of the way.

Tall Task Tuesday

While the Georgia Bulldogs aren't number one in the nation, they have a style and makeup similar to the nation's top team - Alabama. Oh, by the way, they are number six in the college football world. The Rebs know they have their hands full.

Georgia Bulldogs: I Could Not Resist…

I know it’s so wrong to rub it in, especially when the Gators can still win the East with a Georgia loss, but I couldn’t resist creating this little photo after I saw Jordan Reed crying on the sidelines. Wrong? Probably. But, so was that little ad the Gators placed in the paper last week. All is fair in love and SEC fandom.

Will Muschamp gives angry death stare during game against Georgia (Video)

Florida Gators head coach Will Muschamp is known for being very intense and very angry quite often during football games.  This moment was caught on camera during Florida’s game this weekend’s loss against the Georgia Bulldogs.  I can only imagine how upset he was in the locker room after their perfect season was ruined.
