Brad Thomas and Mott Hyde each had two hits and drove in a run for Georgia Tech (35-26).
ETSU starter Kerry Doane (13-2) lost for the first time since March 16. After winning seven straight and earning the Atlantic Sun Conference tournament title, the Buccaneers (36-24) mustered just two runs in two losses in their first regional since 1981.

Yes, Vanderbilt blew it and lost to a fine Georgia Tech team on Sunday night. The same Yellow Jacket squad that won series against North Carolina and Virginia. Vanderbilt can still pull off a trip to the Super Regionals by getting the job done on Monday night. However, if you checked NCAA.com shortly after the game and weren't closely following the regional you'd think Vandy...
