Found May 26, 2013 on Fox Sports:
The Oakland Athletics hope the confidence they've gained during their current surge will help them turn it around against their Bay Area rivals. Coming off a stellar road trip, the A's try to reverse their recent fortunes against the visiting San Francisco Giants on Monday. Oakland (28-23) is 47-45 versus San Francisco during the regular season, but the A's have seen their dominance of the series come to an end in the past five years. They've dropped 17 of the last 26 meetings and have not won a season series from the Giants (28-22) since 2008. San Francisco took two of three at both ballparks in 2012 and also snapped a six-game slide in Oakland. With each team playing well after both won 94 games last season and the Giants a World Series title, the 2013 installment could be more intense than the others. These four games will be the only matchups between the teams this year, with two contests in Oakland followed by two in San Francisco on Wednesday and Thursday....

He said I am obviously innocent. I am the victim, not Susie.”

Angel Pagan hits walkoff inside-the-park home run (Video)

A walkoff home run is not unusual in major league baseball. A walkoff inside-the-park home run, however, is extremely rare. However, San Francisco Giants center fielder Angel Pagan was able to pull off Saturday night. With one on and one out in the bottom of the tenth, down 5-4 at home to the Colorado Rockies, Pagan hit a fly ball to deep right center at AT&T Park that he...

The San Francisco Giants held center fielder Angel Pagan out of yesterday’s lineup with a hamstring injury, according to Willie Bans of Pagan suffered the injury during Saturday’s contest against the Colorado Rockies, a game he ended with his walk-off inside-the-park home run. Tim Lincecum hurt himself celebrating Angel Pagan’s crazy walk-off

Boy, that inside-the-park walk-off by Angel Pagan on Saturday sure was fun, wasn’t it? Well, maybe some us maybe had a little too much fun with it. Like, say, Tim Lincecum, who reportedly tweaked his ankle jumping up and down in the mob of players that swarmed Pagan after he crossed home plate. Lincecum is still OK to make his start as scheduled on Wednesday. He threw a bullpen...

Angel Pagan with the rare “run off” home run

Angel Pagan slides into a jumping gang of San Francisco Giants. The San Francisco Giants came back against the Colorado Rockies by scoring 2 runs in the  bottom of the 10th against Rafael Betancourt.  Scoring 2 runs for a come back win isn’t that rare.  Hitting a 2 run home run to walk off is a but rarer.  But hitting a 2 run inside the parl home run to walk off.  You don’t...

Josh Donaldson had four hits and the Oakland Athletics beat the Houston Astros 11-5 Saturday night. What Do A Professor And An Umpire Have In Common

Even if this is a Giants-oriented blog, I’m not including this weekend’s umpiring blunders that occurred against them, mostly because it didn’t affect much more than the length of the game in the end.  I just cherry-picked three of the biggest and most ridiculous ones. Seriously, why do umpires have the job safety of, essentially, a tenured professor?  Umpires seemingly can’t...

Athletics 6, Astros 2

Bartolo Colon struck out a season-high nine in seven scoreless innings, and the Oakland Athletics completed a sweep of the Houston Astros with a 6-2 win Sunday. Oakland's Nate Freiman, who was with the Astros in spring training as a Rule 5 selection, had a double and home run with three RBIs as the A's improved to 9-0 against the Astros this season. Dating to 2007, Oakland...

Michael Kickham picked by Giants to take Ryan Vogelsong’s spot in rotation

After much debate, speculation and anticipation by outside observers, the Giants have finally named a human being to fill the injured Ryan Vogelsong’s spot in the rotation. And that person is… Kelly Clarkson. Ha, no. Wouldn’t that be something? Really, it’s going to be 24-year-old lefty Michael Kickham from Triple-A Fresno. He’ll make his Major League debut Tuesday in...

Video: SF Giants defeat Colorado Rockies on walkoff inside-the-park HR by Angel Pagan

Tweet   The San Francisco Giants came into Saturday’s matchup against the Colorado Rockies with just three wins in their previous ten games and were in need of a spark to help propel themselves back to the winning ways those at AT&T Park have become accustomed to. In the bottom of the tenth inning Giants [...]
