DAVIE, Fla. If Shayne Graham makes it to this weekend, he'll have been a Miami Dolphin for two weeks. That would be longer than three other tenures he's had with teams in the past 14 months. Such is the life of an NFL kicker. Graham, filling in for Miami's Dan Carpenter as he works his way back from a groin injury, was with Washington for 13 days last August and then later in the summer stuck around Dallas for 11 days. But those stints dwarf his shortest-ever tenure. After New York Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes suffered an ankle injury in practice Oct. 15, 2010, two days before a home game against Detroit, team officials rushed to track down Graham, who was at his Pulaski, Va., home. Graham flew to New York just in case Tynes wouldn't be able to kick against the Lions. "They even had a flight booked for me to go home (before the game) just in case (Tynes) could go," Graham said.
