PLAYERS: Greg Scruggs
TEAMS: Seattle Seahawks
Former Louisville defensive end Greg Scruggs underwent surgery on Thursday afternoon to repair a torn ACL. Scruggs is heading into his second season in the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks. Scruggs suffered the injury prior to the NFL Draft but waited a couple of week to have the operation. The surgery was performed by team physician Ed Khalfayan at the Seattle Surgery Center. The Cincinnati native was drafted in the seventh round by Seattle in 2012. As a rookie, Scruggs recorded five tackles and two sacks in 11 games. Due to the unfortunate timing of this injury, it’s unlikely that Scruggs will be able to play during the 2013 season.
