ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -- Josh Hamilton hit a two-run homer in the 11th inning, after the Angels rallied to tie it with four runs in the ninth, and Los Angeles beat the Boston Red Sox 9-7 on Saturday night to snap the AL East-leaders' five-game winning streak. Brad Hawpe, who came in to play first base in the 10th, singled with one out in the 11th against Craig Breslow (2-2). Hamilton drive the next pitch out to right-center for his 12th homer and second dramatic blast in three nights. Dane De La Rosa (4-1) earned this victory with a scoreless inning. Los Angeles Angels: The Catching Conundrum

The catching position for the Los Angeles Angels solely belonged to Chris Iannetta to begin the 2013 season. However, over the past couple weeks Iannetta has been splitting time with Hank Conger. Conger, a former first round draft pick, has been impressive of late batting .290 over his past 10 games. Conger (16) -Courtesy of zimbio.com The Angels drafted Conger in the first round...

Mike Trout Continuing to Right Ship After Early-Season Slump (Video)

While the Los Angeles Angels struggled through much of the early portion of this season, so too did Mike Trout. Last year’s rookie sensation was hitting just .261 a month into this season — not terrible, but nowhere near the eye-popping totals he put in 2012. He has rebounded, though, and enters this weekend’s series with the Red Sox as the team leader in on-base percentage...

Angels 9, Red Sox 7(11)

Koji Uehara entered Saturday night's game against the Los Angeles Angels hoping he'd get one more chance to make the AL All-Star team because of the last-chance fan ballot. With the game tied 2-2 in the seventh inning, Angels Outfielder Josh Hamilton dropped a routine looking fly ball to give the Red Sox a lead they wouldn’t give...

Et Tu, Mujica? Plus The Friday Links

No.  NOOOOOO! The one thing we could count on in this stretch of tumult was ol' 44. Mr. Reliable. The Stopper. Ed Mujica. Then he came in and gave up the big fly to recovering energy drink addict Josh Hamilton. Worse, the guy on first was one Jose Alberto Pujols who minutes before had just gotten his first hit of the series with a broken bat single. Pujols played...
