The hamstring tear that has sidelined Brian Urlacher could end the future Hall of Famer's career, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Sunday. The Chicago Bears middle linebacker has a Grade 2 hamstring tear that typically keeps players out 3-6 weeks and it's a possibility that Urlacher is not ready to return before Bears season is over -- whether that's in the regular season or playoffs. Sources told Schefter "it's not out of the realm of possibility" Urlacher could retire after the season. He'll be a free agent in the spring and has had no "substantial" talks with the organization. That could mean Urlacher has played his final game. Source: NFL.com Attached Thumbnails

The Chicago Bears will enter the game against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday without two of their best defensive players in Brian Urlacher and Tim Jennings.  The Bears will need exceptional performances out of the rest of the defense if they hope to avoid a repeat of last week, when they allowed consecutive touchdown drives to lose the game. The absence of Urlacher will be felt...

Report: Braylon Edwards may end up signing with the Jets

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, free agent wide receiver Braylon Edwards could end up signing with the New York Jets, who’ve been depleted at the wide receiver position all season. After winning yesterday’s game against the Jaguars, the Jets are now 6-7 and only a game out of the wild card race.  If they sign Edwards it will give them a better chance of making it to the...

Jets Are Expected To Sign A WR, Could Be Braylon Edwards

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Jets released RB Kahlil Bell today to make room for a receiver that they are planning on signing. Schefter speculates that former Jets wideout Braylon Edwards could be an option. Cardinals Claim QB Brian Hoyer, Will Keep Ken Whisenhunt As HC For Remainder Of The Season

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Arizona Cardinals claimed QB Brian Hoyer off waivers from the Pittsburgh Steelers. There’s no question that adding anyone at this point would almost certainly be an upgrade for the Cardinals, but it would be pretty hard to get Hoyer acclimated to their offensive system in time to play against the Lions this weekend. Team president Michael...

Report: Matt Barkley is viewed as a late first round pick

ESPN’s Adam Schefter made an appearance on Mike and Mike in the Morning and indicated that NFL teams view USC quarterback Matt Barkley as a late first-round pick in next April’s draft. This isn’t a surprise at all since Barkley was less than impressive this season. You could argue that he should have entered last year’s draft after his junior year.  He certainly would have...
