PLAYERS: Drew Brees
TEAMS: New Orleans Saints

Having spent three days in the Big Easy, I had first-hand evidence of the fact that Saints’ quarterback Drew Brees is undoubtedly the mayor of that town and will be the King of Carnival 100’s of years from now. With all the madness that is Super Bowl week, any company lucky enough to have a guy of his stature in that town this week should consider themselves, not lucky, but savy. And lucky for me, that company happens to be Tide, which is part of the P&G family and the Fan-Cestry campaign we’ve been promoting all season. Here is Brees doing some media and holding up a jersey from a commercial (the kid hasn’t washed that jersey because of the memories that it holds). Tide’s Super Bowl ad this year features a “stain worth keeping” and will air in the 4th quarter tomorrow. On January 21st Tide released the Stain Savers infomercial video as a teaser to its upcoming Super Bowl ad. “Tide Stain Savers” are nifty little patches that protect these memorable stains from being cleaned away...

Let bygones be bygones: Saints, Brees ready to move on

Theodore Roosevelt said “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.” Drew Brees and the New Orléans Saints did just that in 2012. All the pieces weren’t in place, and after stumbling out the gate, a late-season push would shoot the Saints back up the rankings leaving them with a glimpse of respect. Now that head coach Sean Payton is back, it’s time to let bygones...

Unsurprisingly, Roger Goodell Is Not Welcome At A Handful Of New Orleans Restaurants

With Super Bowl week in full swing, a handful of New Orleans restaurants have made slight modifications to their “No shirt, No shoes, No Service” policies by adding “Roger Goodell” to the list of unwelcome items. The NFL commissioner is loathed more in the Big Easy than perhaps any other NFL city, almost entirely due to his handling (and subsequent fumble) of the Bountygate...

Saints Nation: Pro Football Focus Scores For Saints Players in 2012 (Offense)

As you know sickeningly well by now I'm a big fan of Pro Football Focus and the grading that they do. It offers a unique look into how the players stack up against each other across the league. In this first segment of two we'll look at how the offense did this year. In case you are curious about my same write up last season, since I do this every year, you can check it out...

Goodell talks about ending bounties

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says his biggest regret about the New Orleans Saints' bounty scandal is that he can't get everyone to recognize bounties need to be eliminated from the game. Goodell said he hasn't been able to make the point clearly enough with the players' union and others that the league will not tolerate pay for hard hits. He said the league, coaches...
