Early Tuesday afternoon, Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin announced that the Dolphins would be featured on this year’s new season of HBO‘s “Hard Knocks”.
“It’s a great opportunity to connect with our fans, for the people who aren’t going to be able to come out here daily in 110-degree heat index weather and watch our guys participate in training camp,” Philbin said in South Florida after an offseason practice Tuesday.
Philbin said the Dolphins’ involvement in the show was a football decision made with the blessing of Ross.
“Our owner supported this decision but in no way, shape or form forced us to make the decision,” Philbin said. “It’s a chance to show the new direction and identity of this football team, where we’re headed, and at the same time connect with our past, the great tradition and heritage we have here in Miami.”
There was definitely a lot of drama, embarrassment, ridicule, exposure this past season for the Dolphins. Let’s see what this next season o

The Palm Beach Post reports that the agent for Dolphins rookie running back Lamar Miller said on a local radio show Tuesday morning that Miller (shoulder) wouldn't be cleared for contact now if the Dolphins practiced in pads. Unabridged optimism
The offseason is the time of the year where 32 separate fanbases all believe the same thing. Their team can rise to the top of the NFL, and win the Lombardi Trophy.
