Who: Oklahoma State Cowboys (7-5) vs Purdue Boilermakers (6-6) Where: Duh When: New Year's Day, Noon EST TV: ESPNU Line: Cowboys by 17! Vegas sure doesn't have much confidence in the Boilermakers. I think if you take a look at their wins you will see why. Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, Marshall, Iowa, Illinois and Indiana. Not exactly a who's who. The one positive, if you want to look at it that way, is that all of their losses came against bowl teams (Ohio State being the one exception due to probation). The Boilermakers gave up the 70th most points in the Nation playing against a B1G schedule that isn't exactly known for it's offensive prowess.  The Cowboys come into the game 4th in the Nation in scoring and 6th in passing yards. I simply think this is a bad match-up for Purdue. Oklahoma State lost their last two games but it was to Oklahoma in overtime and a Baylor team that was playing their best football of the season. It's going to be tough to cover a 17 point spread but it's hard to pick against the Cowboys in this one.

Oklahoma State vs. Purdue in Heart of Dallas Bowl

There are a couple of games Oklahoma State would like to have back. Purdue certainly feels the same way, especially with the near-misses the Boilermakers had on the road against two of the nation's undefeated teams. By losing its last two games by a combined 10 points, Oklahoma State became one of five Big 12 teams that finished 7-5 and slid down the league's bowl pecking...

Smart-Led Cowboys Fall To Gonzaga, 69-68

It was supposed to be that season defining moment. That moment when the chatter about Gallagher-Iba Arena’s relevance on a national landscape, that chatter about Travis Ford’s job security, that chatter about Oklahoma State’s NCAA tournament potential, all of that would go away and be replaced with the biggest nonconference victory in the past 20 years.

Heart of Dallas Bowl: It's Game Time

DALLAS – The rain wasn’t torrential but it was steady in Dallas on Monday and as a result the Oklahoma State Cowboys did not make it to the Cotton Bowl for their scheduled walk-through and official bowl team picture. Maybe the Cowboys will have reason to take an informal and celebratory team photo about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Cotton Bowl after beating Purdue in the Heart of Dallas Bowl.
