The Miami Heat have 13 guaranteed contracts on their roster and could maintain the same amount throughout the upcoming season.
The Heat have told some player agents that they may carry only 13 players.
The Heat signed Justin Hamilton and Eric Griffin to non-guaranteed deals on Tuesday. Jarvis Varnado also is under a non-guaranteed contract.

The Miami Heat have signed Michael Beasley, the club announced Wednesday.
The team did not disclose terms of the contract, but according to multiple reports it's a non-guaranteed deal.
Beasley, who was originally drafted by the Heat with the No. 2 pick in the 2008 draft, is currently under investigation in Scottsdale, Ariz., for a sexual assault incident at his home.
It is too late for LeBron to back out now, so he will be officially be marrying his longtime girlfriend and fiancee Savannah Brinson this month.

James will marry his longtime love Savannah Brinson in a top-secret and high-security ceremony. Speculation is that the wedding will be held at either the Grand Del Mar or Hotel Del Coronado.
The Miami Heat’s most valuable bench asset is former Duke star Shane Battier.
Like sharpshooter Ray Allen, Battier can be counted on in clutch situations even if he struggles during traditional minutes.
The 35-year-old is entering the final year of his contract with Miami as they wind up their wagon to go for a precious 3-Peat.
