The Miami Heat have signed 40-year-old Juwan Howard to a 10-day contract. Howard, who won an NBA championship with the Heat last season, averaged just 1.5 points and 1.7 rebounds in 28 games.
According to NBA:
The Miami HEAT announced March 2nd that they have signed forward Juwan Howard to a 10-day contract. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Juwan is a key part of the Championship culture here in Miami,” said HEAT President Pat Riley. “He is essential to this team and can still play this game at a high level in some of our biggest games yet to come. He has a unique veteran savvy and will provide leadership and experience to our team.”

Sportscenter’s death knell sounded with ‘BioBlast’ about the Harlem Shake (pic)
As succinctly pointed out by The Big Lead, this truly signifies the demise of SportsCenter. Word is that the two were very affectionate...
