Found August 25, 2013 on College Spun:
Earlier this week, ESPN released a promo for a special SportsCenter segment about South Carolina defensive star Jadeveon Clowney, titled “The Freak”. The piece ruffled some feathers in the college football world, as a few scenes depicted other schools’ stars as fearing the Gamecocks stud in their sleep.  Well, this morning, ESPN released the full segment, and it’s safe to say that it’s pretty accurate after all. The Worldwide Leader has video of quarterbacks from numerous SEC teams boasting about the sure-fire NFL first-round pick. There’s also footage of Clowney running track in high school – astounding given his size. Check it all out:

UNC trying to balance how much to plan for Clowney

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Chaz Sutton. Kelcy Quarles. J.T. Surratt. Some great-sounding names in that group. But none of them have a tenth of the name recognition as the fourth starter on South Carolinas defensive line: Jadeveon Clowney. That doesnt mean they arent talented enough to wreak havoc on an opposing offense, though, particularly if opponents spend all their time and energy...

‘The Freak’: ESPN features Jadeveon Clowney in new video segment

ESPN interviewed a number of SEC rivals regarding South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney in a video segment entitled simply, "The Freak."

Insane Clowney Posse? 2013 South Carolina Preview

It was a weird year for South Carolina. Thanks to a two-tier QB system of Connor Shaw and Dylan Thompson, the fact that Shaw seemed to struggle with getting battered by fast SEC players didn't matter. They won close games. They lost a few, too. They beat Georgia....and still didn't go to the SEC Championship game because they lost to Florida.....and to LSU. Jadeveon Clowney...

ESPN creates Jadeveon Clowney “The Freak” promo

ESPN created this promo titled “The Freak” to promote South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney.  Clowney obviously wasn’t paid for his role in the spot and despite a Georgia #11 jersey appearing, Aaron Murray didn’t see any money from that either.  No matter, this cool spot will help promote ESPN and it’s multi-billion dollar product. Making Clowney 'Uncomfortable'

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – North Carolina will enter Thursday night’s season opener at No. 7 South Carolina with several offensive designs built in to counter Jadeveon Clowney and the Gamecock defense.

2014 NFL Draft Top Five: Clowney, Bridgewater top two but see who's next

For 2014 NFL Draft prospects, South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney is the cream of the crop and will almost surely be the number one pick unless a team reaches for a quarterback.Next year's class of NFL eligible players has a wealth of talent at the quarterback position. Alabama's AJ McCarron, Clemson's Tajh Boyd, and Miami's Stephen Morris are just a few...

At last, it's Clowney season

It's finally time for Clowney season. For the next four months or so, college football's focus will be locked onto Jadeveon Clowney, South Carolina's fearsome, 6-foot-6, 274-pound defensive end. ''I know he's ready to get things going,'' said Chaz Sutton, the Gamecocks' other defensive end. ''We all are.'' The anticipation for...

Gamecocks QB Shaw could play

Injured South Carolina quarterback Connor Shaw could play when the 13th-ranked Gamecocks against Kentucky on Saturday night. At least coach Steve Spurrier believes he could. Shaw, who injured his shoulder Saturday against UCF, was expected to be out up to three weeks. But Shaw practiced Monday night and Spurrier said he watched the QB throw the ball about 60 yards. If his progress...

South Carolina makes a “Ride For My Team” rap video

I normally hate rap videos produced for college football teams but sometimes exceptions have to be made. This is one of them. It is tastefully done and stars Marcus Lattimore. The song isn’t bad. It mentions Lil’ Wayne and the Notorious B.I.G. It talks about liking your team when they are down or doing well. It was tastefully done. You really can’t hate on this video much....

South Carolina Preview: Defense

As important as the other side of the ball will be to the outcome of the game, the main event of this game is sure to be the UNC offense against Jadeveon Clowney -- er, the South Carolina defense.

Jadeveon Clowney and Teddy Bridgewater NFL Future

by Bo Marchionte Follow on Twitter @bomarchionte "I understand why it's being brought up," said Pittsburgh Steelers 12 year veteran Larry Foote. "Because of money and the injury risk," adding "I know those guys do a lot of stuff with insurance to take a little bit off their minds." While not referring directly to both projected top picks...

South Carolina Gamecocks 2013 Season Preview

The 2013 season may be the most anticipated in the history of South Carolina football. After going 11-2 including a bowl win over Michigan the Gamecocks seem to be a front runner in the SEC and national picture. The attention grabber for South Carolina is of course their star defensive end Jadeveon Clowney. Clowney is up for every defensive award imaginable and even in the Heisman...
