After the two high scoring games on Saturday, first with the Baltimore Ravens, a 10 point underdog, pulling off the upset by beating Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos in his new house 38-35 in 2OT, and then the San Francisco 49ers, who were 3 point underdogs to visiting Green Bay, beat up the Packers 45-31, in what was the coming out party for Colin Kaepernick. Well on Sunday the Texans are looking to continue the trend and hope to take care of a few issues in going into Foxboro to face the New England Patriots.  First they need to put the demoralizing defeat in week 14 out of their minds when they lost 42-14 much like the Jets did.  The New York Jets were able to when came back after their crushing defeat in the 2010-11 season in week 13 as the lost to the Patriots 45-3 and then came back and beat the Patriots in Foxboro in the divisional round of the playoffs. Secondly they need to find a way to slow down the Patriots offense. The Patriots offense racked up 419 yards, 27 first downs as they were firing on all cylinders.  QB Tom Brady went 21 for 35 for 296 yards and 4 touchdowns with a QB rating of 125.4. The running game also ran for 130 yards on the ground with Steven Ridley leading the way with 72 yards on 18 carries and a touchdown. Third they need to find a way to get Arian Foster going.  He was neutralized all game as his one long run of 15 yards was his lone highlight, leaving him 14 carries for 31 yards (his total of 15 yards for 46 yards for a touchdown).  His numbers were also a product of the Patriots early 28-0 lead, but he does need to do more this week for the Texans to have a chance The Texans have some big obstacles in their way, but they way this weekend has started and past history of the Patriots and the talent of Foster anything can happen. The Texans will cover the point spread (+9.5) and certainly come to play but they will come up short as the Pats win 31-27. var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});
