Florida Panthers goaltender Jacob Markstrom has gone through the system to finally play in the National Hockey League. Since being drafted thirty-first overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Markstrom has worked his way from the Swedish junior leagues to the American Hockey League's Rochester Americans and San Antonio Rampage to finally becoming a Panther.  Below is a scouting report from The Hockey News. Assets: Has exceptional quickness for a big-sized goaltender, outstanding competitive spirit and big-save ability. Covers a ton of net with his size (6-6, 196 pounds) alone. Flaws: Must keep his emotions in check, since he can get a little rattled in pressure situations and lose his positioning in the net. Also needs to fill out his huge frame. Career Potential: Towering, talented goaltender with big upside. This 6-foot-6 netminder can take up a large portion of the net, which makes it hard for players to try and score high on him. However, Markstrom's weakness does appear to be his angles when an opposing player is coming down from his left side. He leaves the upper portion of the net open because he will cheat on a play, as seen in Reaves' goal. But in Filppula's, he was able to get off just a nice shot in the same place.
