Found October 25, 2012 on It's Always Sunny in Detroit:
Prince Fielder told the Detroit Free Press that grown men see him on the street and want to take part in the handshake he has with Miguel Cabrera.  Fielder wouldn’t demonstrate how it’s done, calling it “top secret.”  But technology blew the cover on that.  Now with this tutorial, you and your grown men friends can do the fancy/funky/awkward ritual enjoyed by the Triple Crown winner and his batting order body guard. A “how-to” video was made by two Tiger fans and pitched to the Free Press. If the video tutorial didn’t do it for you, we have a frame-by-frame. There you go. Be the “cool guy” at your office who walks into a meeting and pulls out the old “salt and pepper” Cabby-style. Better yet, do it in front of the Senior Vice President. And then again in front of cute girl in the office down the hall. She’ll love it…really.

Prince Fielder Lays Out for Foul Popup, Eats Dirt in Process (Video)

California is certainly no stranger to earthquakes, and that certainly includes San Francisco baseball fans, who felt the ground rumble beneath their feet just prior to the 1989 World Series. Well, the Richter Scale surely moved again during this Fall Classic in the City by the Bay, but this time it had nothing to do with tectonic plates. During the fourth inning...

The Assist: Detroit Tigers Prince Fielder & Eminem

The Detroit Tigers took on the San Francisco Giants in game 1 of the World Series Wednesday night. Earlier in the week, Detroit’s own Eminem caught up with Tigers Prince Fielder. That’s a pretty sheer shirt there Prince. Game 1 went to the Giants 8-3. Game 2 is tonight back in San Francisco.   [...]

Contract doesn't weigh down Fielder

This hasn't been the best October for baseball's 200 million men. Alex Rodriguez (275 million) batted .120 in the postseason, was benched or pinch-hit for six times, and, despite 647 career home runs, now represents the most odious player investment in North American professional sports. Albert Pujols (240 million) had three fewer hits than A-Rod in this postseason, because...

Tigers, Giants tied 0-0 in World Series Game 2

Detroit's Prince Fielder was thrown out at the plate trying to score on Delmon Young's double, pitcher Doug Fister remained in the game after getting hit on the head by a line drive and the Tigers and San Francisco Giants were tied 0-0 after three innings of World Series Game 2 on Thursday night. Following San Francisco's 8-3 win in the opener, the Tigers sent Fister...

Series gets hairy with wild beards

This is going to be a very hairy World Series. Giants outfielder Hunter Pence is looking seriously scraggly. Same goes for teammate Sergio Romo, whose facial fuzz has its own Twitter account. Tigers slugger Prince Fielder goes for a double - dreadlocks and an overgrown beard. And not to forget injured San Francisco closer Brian Wilson. His dyed, jet-black thicket inspired a '...

Phil Coke’s Miguel Cabrera story is phenomenal (Video)

Detroit Tigers relief pitcher Phil Coke has emerged as a key figure during the team’s playoff run this season, and one of the byproducts has been the public getting to know his cool personality. Take for instance the video above. Deadspin shared this brilliant clip with us on Friday, and it’s from an interview Coke did with MLB Network’s “Intentional Talk” with Kevin Millar...

Miguel Cabrera, Justin Verlander, Buster Posey Are Favorites to Win World Series MVP

Detroit Tigers third baseman Miguel Cabrera became the first player in 45 years to win the Triple Crown this season, and he is likely to win the American League MVP award when that's announced next month. But first things first: could Cabrera win a World Series MVP? He is the 5-1 favorite to do so at Bovada. Cabrera's Tigers would almost certainly have to...

2012 World Series predictions and preview

While the National League will be represented by the San Francisco Giants who last appeared in the World Series in 2010, winning it all against the Texas Rangers. With that said lets take a look at the 2012 World Series between the Detroit Tigers and San Francisco Giants:

Bounces don't go Tigers' way

Sometimes, a fire starts in the strangest way. Angel Pagan hit a harmless grounder down the line that Tigers third baseman Miguel Cabrera had covered. All he had to do was field the ball, show off his strong arm, and the Giants would be done in a 1-2-3 third inning. But the ball hit the inside portion of the bag and ricocheted like a hockey wrist shot into shallow left field. Cabrera...

When voting for the American League Most Valuable Player award is announced Nov. 15, Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout will learn where he stands with the baseball writers, who select the MVP. Trout already knows how the AL front-office executives view him, as he was the only unanimous selection in voting for a postseason All-Star team. The Sporting News polled 30 general...
