How do you know a golfer really wants to do whatever it takes to win? Well, he could get his hand bitten off by a gator while reaching for a ball? Too extreme? Or too Hollywood?
Losing limbs is not necessary, but it doesn't hurt to make an awesome shot from the water to prove you have the drive and determination it takes to win.
Don't worry. You can take your shoes and socks off and roll up your pants like Nicholas Thompson did on the 17th hole of the Arnold Palmer Invitational Saturday. It would be just plain silly not too.
