The Sox' smallest margin of victory was 4 runs. Big Papi went a cool 8-for-15 in the series, with a pair of homers and doubles. Dustin Pedroia also had a big series, going 7-for-14, with 3 doubles. I started to feel bad for the Astros, even that early in the season. Now, they are just plain pathetic. This time Laser Show: David Ortiz & Dustin Pedroia Why not? I know Pedey hasn't been exactly hot recently, but he has been driving in some runs here and there. Eight RBI in the last 7 games to be exact. Plus he had a pretty damn good series against Houston last time. David Ortiz had a nice little 7-game hit streak snapped last night, and the average is on a slight decline, but who else has been as consistent? Again, he had a great series against Houston in April, so he'll have a good chance to raise his average. Pitch Around: No one Houston's offense sucks! Chris Carter is the biggest power threat, but he is an "all-or-nothing" guy, who usually gets a lot of nothing. His .213 average and 145 strikeouts back up my argument. Don't Fall Behind: Jarred Cosart A young pitcher who has done very well in his 4 major league starts. Cosart has not surrendered more than 1 earned run in any start. His most impressive start was his first, going 8 strong against the Rays, giving up only 2 hits, no earned runs, and 3 walks. He has not recorded a decision since then, but his starts have been impressive. Cosart will not get a lot of strikeouts, and has the potential to walk a lot. How we see it goin' down Even with Cosart going in game 3, the Sox are going to sweep the Astros. Cosart will be in for a rude awakening, as the Sox will put him in his place and knock the rookie out of the game early. Houston is equally as bad at home and on the road, so, I am sure they will find a way to lose.
