Michael McComish, a senior wrestler for Madison High School (SD), was in the middle of a match against an opponent from Chamberlain during the school’s annual “Madison Square Garden Night” when a rather large light fell from the gym rafters and landed on McComish as he was lining up in the referee’s position. Despite the fact that a huge light fell about 30-feet and smashed him in the back of the head, McComish suffered only a minor cuts and a few stitches to close up a gash on his forehead, then took to Twitter to reassure everyone that he was just fine and dandy… Just letting everyone know I’m fine! Stitches in my head. Gash on forehead and back of me head and little cuts from the glass nothin serious — Michael McComish (@Comish69) January 19, 2013 And the aforementioned stitches to the noggin… I’m sure Michael McComish wasn’t prepared to be crushed by a falling light fixture during his Friday night match. A finger or two in an unwanted orifice, yes, but not that.
