Since his much publicized of the rug pulling job on GM Peter Chiarelli before the trade deadline when he chose to go to Pittsburgh instead, former Calgary captain and short term Penguin Jarome Iginla inked a contract today with Boston.  The contract has a base salary of $1.8M with $4.2M of incentives for a total of $6M if he makes it all. The cap hit for this year will only be the base of $1.8M and the bulk of the hit, should he make his incentives, will carry over to the 2014-2015 season.  Chiarelli has some room to play with after trading the obscene cap hit to production ratio of Tyler Seguin and Rich Peverley to Dallas and freeing up $9M to go after free agents and locking up goaltending stud Tuukka Rask to a long term deal.  Rumblings of a long term extension for stalwart forward Patrice Bergeron have also surfaced.
