One of the most memorable seasons in my 20+ years as an avid Indiana basketball fan ended last night when the Hoosiers fell 102-90 to the Kentucky Wildcats. Kentucky has a more talented roster and they played better overall – especially on the glass and from the free throw line – so they deserved to win. Just as Indiana was the better team in December, Kentucky was the better team last night. But for their final performance of the season, the 2011-12 Hoosiers did what they have done all year: played better than most expected and made their fan base unequivocally proud. It is disappointing that this is the final postgame show, but there is nothing disappointing about this season…except for the reality that we won’t get 40 minutes with this special group of Hoosiers. That’s really all I wanted anyway. We’ll have plenty more reflection coming your way about this tremendous season. For now, here is last night’s postgame show, where the disappointment was certainly palpable but, I think...

Except for movie night, Calipari having a ball

John Calipari is having a ball. Well, except for movie night. The coach of top-seeded Kentucky has avoided watching other games during the NCAA tournament, and he wants his players to do the same.
