CHICAGO -- Rod Marinelli is without question the authority when it comes to unearthing inside information this week on the Lions. However, Bears tight end Michael Gaines may have something even more valuable to contribute: an inside look at the new regime in Detroit. Cut by the Lions on April 29, Gaines did have time to observe the tendencies of new Lions head coach Jim Schwartz, knowledge which may prove useful as the Bears prepare to face Gaines' former club. "There's a lot of new people there, even though I was with them when the coach [Schwartz] came in," said Gaines. "They run simple stuff, he still has the same package from Tennessee that he brought over. It's real simple, real vanilla and we just have to go out there and play hard."
