I had the pleasure of being able to interview Chicago Bears left tackle Jermon Bushrod prior to his upcoming charity gold tournament down in King Goerge, Virginia.
Jermon’s charity is called Visualize and Rize. You can find out more information at VisualizeandRize.org
The 3rd annual Visualize and Rize Charity Golf Tournament will be held on Friday June 14th at Cameron Hills Golf Course. The money raised at the event will go towards book scholarships and athletic programs for local students and for the local YMCA.
A free youth football camp will be held the following day for kids ages 6-14. The purpose of the camp is to help build character and teach each child the fundamentals of football.
What made you start the The Visualize and Rize Foundation?
The visualize came from my offensive line coach. He was always preaching to me day in and day out that you have to visualize yourself doing something. He brought it to my attention on more of a football term, dealing with getting yo...

The Chicago Bears have signed their first-round pick from the 2013 NFL Draft. Kyle Long and the Bears have agreed on a four-year contract. Long was the 20th pick of the draft.

Chicago Bears defensive tackle Henry Melton signed his franchised tag tender quickly, but the strategy could backfire on him.
Matt Forte face a similar circumstance and he refused to sign and he was rewarded with a long term deal right before training camp.

Let’s face it, the Chicago Bears offensive line was a complete mess the past two seasons. And maybe drafting Kyle Long with the twentieth pick in the first round was a bit of a reach but it was still a solid pick for a need they had to address.
They officially inked Kyle, son of NFL great Howie Long, to a four-year deal. He should immediately start at right guard and possibly move...
Jay Cutler has been called a lot of things. Some of them have been complimentary. Most of them are ones that I shouldn't include in this post (since I don't like to curse when I write). His new quarterbacks coach called him something in a recent interview that will likely come as quite a shock.
Borderline football brilliant.
Those were the words that Matt Cavanaugh...

Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports that the Bears have made very little progress towards a long-term extension for DT Henry Melton.
Chicago placed their franchise tag on Melton back in February. Melton has since signed his franchise tender and is set to make $8.5 million for the 2013 season. The Bears have until July 15 to work out a long-term.
“We’re just kind...
The Chicago Bears inked their first round pick (20th overall) on Friday, signing G Kyle Long, the son of former NFL great DE Howie Long, and of course the brother of Rams DE Chris Long. They now have all their 2013 draft selections in the fold.
Long, 6-6, 311 lbs. out of Oregon, will join a Bears revamped line to help shore up protection for QB Jay Cutler. Although Long only has...
Chicago Bears defensive tackle Henry Melton signed his one-year franchise tender when the team presented him with it earlier this offseason. While he certainly won't be upset to collect a cool $8.45 million this season, Melton is holding out hope that an agreement on a long-term contract extension with the Bears will materialize, according to Brad Biggs of The Chicago Tribune...

The Chicago Bears have their 2013 rookie draft class signed, sealed, and delivered with the announcement that first-round choice Kyle Long inked a four-year deal with the club Friday evening. It continues a recent trend of having all the draft picks under contract prior to the start of training camp. The Bears selected Long with the 20th choice of the [...]
