This weekend, Iowa and Wisconsin will battle for the Heartland Trophy at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City. The two programs have squared off for over one hundred years, but the brass bull trophy has actually only been around since 2004. However, despite it’s relatively short existence, the schools both really, really would like to claim it to display for another year. Today, Iowa actually decided to raise the stakes on the game a little more — in addition to the winner of the game getting to take home the trophy, the loser would have to take a picture of the winning team holding the trophy and post it on their school’s Twitter account — that’s what the Hawkeyes proposed to the Badgers, at least: Hey @UWMadison…want to make a little arrangement for the football game Saturday? Losing team posts a photo of winning team with trophy? — University of Iowa (@uiowa) October 30, 2013 Wisconsin quickly accepted the challenge, and fired off a little shot to indicate that the Badgers plan on winning — again: Like this one? The game will air on ABC/ESPN2 at noon EST on Saturday.
