Many people are talking about the way the Miami Heat dismantled the Chicago Bulls in Game 2. The Bulls lost the game and their patience. They shot the ball poorly and felt that the referees where just giving calls to their opponent. Taj Gibson and Joakim Noah got ejected from the game and the Heat fans let them have it. No matter how you look at it the Bulls got rocked. Yet does it matter what the score was? The series is still tied 1-1. It wouldn’t have mattered if the Bulls lost by one point or sixty. A win is a win and a loss is a loss. Yes the Bulls have some of their star players out or banged up, but they are not letting those issues creep in as an excuse. Now that series has moved to Chicago, the Bulls have a chance to take the lead in front of their fans. The team is looking to wipe Game 2 from their memory and getting a win tonight will be a big help. ”We know that they call it the ‘Madhouse on Madison’ for a reason,” Dwyane Wade said. The Chicago-area native continued to say, ”The fans are very loud. At the end of the day, once that settles down, it’s the game of basketball and you have to execute your game plan. It’s going to be the little things that wins games for your team.” When LeBron James was asked if the Game 2 blowout will carry any type of momentum for the Heat. James calmly replied, ”It’s just one game. Even though you got dominated the game before and you didn’t do things right, it’s still one game. You don’t get two wins if you win by over 30 or over 40. You only get one game. They’re back in their home building, where they’re very good and we have to be ready for it.” To me the pressure is on the Bulls to see how they can respond and try to keep the home court advantage since they took Game 1 in Miami. The Bulls will need a huge effort from Nate Robinson and Joakim Noah. Those two are the leaders of the Bulls right now and need to set the tone early in the game. If the Bulls can keep the game tight like they did in Game 1, they have a great shot at winning the game. ”We got to do better. We got to do a much better job of that,” Thibodeau said. ”Can’t get sidetracked. We know how it will be called. We’re not going to get calls. We just got to be tough, mentally, physically, emotionally. We got to be a lot stronger.” Chicago will have to be a lot stronger if they are looking to keep the home court advantage. The Heat have proved in the past that when Game 1 goes to the opponent, they have the ability to win the next four games to win the series. Tonight we will see if the Bulls are able to bounce back and beat the Heat. If not I am guessing the Heat will win the next two games after tonight to close out the series.
