Future NFL defensive tackle Bennie Logan dominated the SEC while playing at LSU, and looks to do the same at the next level in the NFL. Wearing the number 18 at LSU is not just a number, but instead a symbol. The number is representative of the player who best represents what it means to be a Tiger on and off the field. Logan is projected to be amid to late round prospect, and a key team to select him could very well be the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars ranked third in the league in rushing yards given up per game, giving up a whopping 141 yards. Next season, Jacksonville must face dominant rushers such as Jamaal Charles, Frank Gore, C.J. Spiller, Fred Jackson, Arian Foster (twice), Chris Johnson (twice), Darren McFadden, Steven Jackson, and Marshawn Lynch. If the Jaguars are going to have any chance at a winning record, they must get bigger in their interior line. Starting defensive tackles Tyson Alualu and C.J. Mosely are simply not getting the job done.Bennie Logan is an extremely athletic defensive tackle, with a wide frame and solid thickness and strength throughout. Logan can hold his own on single blocks, and can reach his hands into the ball carrier's hole, causing disruption in the play. Similar to the St. Louis Rams and former LSU Tiger Michael Brockers, Logan relies more on his athleticism more than anything. Logan most compares to Jaguars defensive tackle Tyson Alualu in the National Football League. One thing that Logan will have to improve on, is his initial quickness and explosiveness off the line.Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley will have to upgrade his defensive line if he wants to match up with the competition this year. Besides the obvious quarterback problem, the Jaguars have the potential to be a solid team in the NFL.
