It's a shame it took this to happen...

For people to realize how truly special of a QB McNabb was, got crapped on from the first day he was drafted and got crapped on when he got traded. The crazy thing is he never had an offense this talented, the closest he came was in 04 and in his final year with a rookie Maclin and McCoy. Covered up sooo many of this team's flaws it wasn't even funny, no running game, no WRs, no TE's, predictable play calling on offense and a defense that ALWAYS choked in the biggest games. He still found a way to win.

  • crapped on and remained loyal to that phat phuck. More than enough talent to win a superbowl but no Lurie had a bigger business plan. And according to GTD we have to keep that search up for that elusive QB thats talented enough to win a superbowl. Is superman in this years draft?
  • Superman certainly isn't Vick, hollywood therefore the team has no other choice than to find their new QB. You can keep typing that it is "my" plan..."my" choice but it isn't. It's just the simple fact that Vick isn't getting it done and the Eagles will not keep him on their roster when he is due 16.5 million dollars next year and another 50 million or so throughout the remainder of his contract. It just isn't going to happen.

  • hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
  • Shouldn't we assume that a Mcnabb fan is an Eagels fan? I don't understand the train of thought that backing Mcnabb is anti-Eagles.

It'll be a lot easier for some Eagle fans to move on once we find another great quarterback.
  • so now hes great?

  • Bigrele bailed on the Eagles after they traded McNabb and there certainly seemed to be many other fans who talked like they could do the same. A fan of a TEAM doesn't do that.
  • Maybe you should get over fans not getting over Mcnabb.
  • I fail to see what McNabb has to do with this situation at all. Is he better than Vick right now? Maybe, but it doesn't matter. Again the Eagles did the right thing trading McNabb. They just screwed up with what they got in return. The same goes for their trade of Kevin Kolb.

  • Tech, it's obvious what Mcnabb meant to this organization. Don't let the people (vocal minority) who can't admit it get to you.
  • Nobody is denying what McNabb meant to the organization. I still fail to see what that has to do with Vick.
