It may only be a scrimmage for the Jacksonville Jaguars, but a story will be told at EverBank Field tonight. While the team will go through its pre-practice routine of warm ups and conditioning, there will be live action and work with the first and second units, allowing head coach Gus Bradley and his staff to really begin the evaluation process for this team and put together a game plan for 2013.This is only the first test for the team. Four more of them will come in succession starting next week against Miami at home and then three other preseason contests. In the end, players will receive a passing grade (a roster spot or practice squad invite) or one that will allow them to seek employment elsewhere. Here are some things to look for from Saturday night’s scrimmage.Solid quarterback play. Both Chad Henne and Blaine Gabbert will see action tonight. Gabbert has been slowed by an ankle injury (sprain). Henne has looked comfortable in the offense Jedd Fisch has implemented so far. WR Ace Sanders takes spotlight at Jags' scrimmage

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Wide receiver Ace Sanders didn't score a touchdown Saturday night in the Jacksonville Jaguars' intrasquad scrimmage at EverBank Field. And because no tackling was allowed on punt returns, the excitement he generated in that area was a bit misleading. But on a night when quarterbacks Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne were effective but hardly scintillating...

Gabbert, Henne make little progress in scrimmage

Jacksonville's quarterback competition isn't close to being settled, even after a week of training camp and a Saturday night scrimmage. Blaine Gabbert threw for 40 yards and two touchdowns - both in goal-line drills - but did little to distance himself as the team's starter. Chad Henne threw for 64 yards and a score - also in goal-line drills - but was sacked five times...

Maurice Jones-Drew Gives Kids Free Backpacks Filled With School Supplies at Jaguars Camp (Photo)

To paraphrase Paul Pierce, Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew is the classic example of a great player on a bad team. Jones-Drew, who has rushed for more than 1,300 yards in three of the last four seasons, would probably prefer a playoff appearance or two along with his gaudy statistics, but it’s not his fault the Jags have been stuck with Chad Henne and Blaine Gabbert calling...
