PITTSBURGH AND WHEELING RENEW VOWS… ERRR AFFILIATION The Pittsburgh Penguins and Wheeling Nailers plan to stay together for the kids… Well, for one more season anyway. Wheeling and Pittsburgh have been affiliated for 15 seasons. The Nailers have been a great asset for player development for the Penguins, mainly because of the proximity to Pittsburgh. Pens scouts and coaching staff routinely communicate and make their way to Wheeling to develop prospects. The Nailers open up their schedule at home against the Elmira Jackals on Friday, October 18th. HOW BADLY DO YOU MISS THE IGLOO?
