Jake Peavy wants to win first and foremost, and he doesn’t care who he faces while he does it.
In his first start against his former team since being traded to the Red Sox on July 30, Peavy turned in another dominant outing, allowing only two runs in his seven innings of work against the White Sox. The right-hander revealed it really “wasn’t that big of a deal” facing his old teammates as he got into “compete mode” the second he stepped on the mound.
