Philly Sports Nut:
Today I sat down with Jason Babin, All Pro defensive end for the Philadelphia Eagles. Jason and I discussed the problems the Eagles have been experiencing all season. Babin also gave me his thoughts on new defensive coordinator Todd Bowles. Most interesting, though, is the one question Eagles’ fans have been wanting an answer to. Have the Eagles given up? Listen to the interview to find out how Babin reacts.
Now in his second stint in Philadelphia, Jason Babin is a ferocious defensive end who has flourished over the last two seasons and emerged as one of the NFL’s top pass rushers. Babin re-signed with the Eagles as a free agent prior to the 2011 season and earned his second consecutive Pro Bowl selection after registering a careerhigh 18 sacks. A former first round draft choice (27th overall) of Houston in 2004, Babin has spent time with the Texans (2004-06), Seahawks (2007-08), Chiefs (2008), Eagles (2009) and Titans (2010).

Eagles could end up cutting Nnamdi Asomugha
There’s no question that the Philadelphia Eagles have been a big disappointment this season. One of their biggest problems on the defensive side of the ball has been the play of Nnamdi Asomugha who still hasn’t lived up to the free agent mega deal he signed last season.
There’s a chance that the eagles might cut Asomugha this offseason if he doesn’t take a pay cut.

Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer writes that the Philadelphia Eagles will most likely begin the process of cleaning house after the season.
McLane mentions that the Eagles are projected to be close to $18 million over the salary cap next season, so it makes sense that they would begin to address some of their high-salaried players.

Nick Foles will get the start in Philly in week 11
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Eagles are planning to start Nick Foles in Week 11. Barring a miracle turnaround from Michael Vick (concussion), Foles will make his first career start against the Redskins. Foles was already slated to take all the first-team reps in Wednesday’s practice, while Vick’s “significant” concussion is widely expected to sideline him for weeks...

yesterday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys after sustaining what was later
determined to be a concussion, and the veteran was replaced by heralded rookie

Will Playing Nick Foles Behind Eagles’ Horrible OL Jeopardize His Development?

Since Philadelphia Eagles rookie QB Nick Foles is slated to make his first career start this Sunday, and perhaps play the remainder of the 2012 season, I’ve had a few people bring up the David Carr debate as a reason not to let him play yet.
What do I mean by that? In case you didn’t know or need a memory refresher, David Carr was the No. 1 overall pick...
Nnamdi Asomugha’s Chances Of Remaining An Eagle “Slim?”
Jeff McLane of the Philly Inquirer responded to a question regarding Nnamdi Asomugha future will the Eagles by suggesting that he a “slim” chance of returning and would most likely have to take a pay cut.
Since his arrival in Philadelphia, Asomugha has been a huge disappointment. His poor play last year was attributed to the Eagles defensive scheme, but he has continued to...
Philadelphia Eagles: Week 11 NFL Power Rankings (#21)
Last week: 18 (-3)
Record: 3-6
It was a very smart of Andy Reid to “rest” Michael Vick the rest of the way. He’s not making the playoffs, but he can still save his job if Nick Foles goes say 4-3. He can blame their slow start on Vick and his history developing quarterbacks will probably convince management to let Reid stick around and develop the promising young quarterback...
