Jason Babin signs and new deal with the Eagles
Though there will be many cut-downs made by the Philadelphia Eagles by the deadline today, the one-time first-round draft pick of the Texans Jason Babin won't be included in those cuts.
In fact the Eagles have been so impressed with Babin over the preseason that they decided to shred up his old free agent deal he originally signed with the Birds on August 4th in order for him to sign a new deal.
Although the terms of the Babin deal aren't known just yet, it's probably a multi year deal, or a one-year deal with an option. But If the Eagles saw what we all saw in the preseason they want to keep this guy in the fold for quite some time.
By the end of the day the Philadelphia Eagles are expected to be making nineteen moves, and while the majority of those moves will be cuts they should be accompanied with trades and signings if the Eagles have their way.
Remember to look out for the Eagles to deal AJ Feeley to the Patriots for a tight end, and they will also attempt to deal Reggie Brown to any team that will have him.
