Found April 24, 2012 on The Daily Sports Herald:
Time magazine just released its annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world for 2012. The list includes world leaders, pioneers, moguls, and activists. Also among the 100 are athletes Jeremy Lin and Tim Tebow, who were chosen alongside such people as President Barrack Obama, billionaire Warren Buffet, and Senator Mitt Romney. Whatever criteria Time used to complete their list, it does make one wonder how Tim Tebow and Jeremy Lin made the cut. Here are some stats on the two athletes: Tim Tebow (2011) Games Started: 11 Team Record as Starter: 7-4 Passes Attempted: 271 Passes Completed: 126 Completion %: 46.5% Touchdowns: 12 Interceptions: 6 Rushing Touchdowns: 6 QB Rating: 72.9 Team Record Before Becoming Starter: 1-4 Jeremy Lin (2011-2012): Games Started: 25 Team Record as Starter: 16-10 Points Per Game: 14.6 Assists Per Game: 6.2 Rebounds Per Game: 3.0 Turnovers Per Game: 3.6 Team Record Before Becoming Starter: 7-15 At first glance,...

Jersey Sports Fan: “Tebow’s Ark heads to Ottawa”

Finally, the Jersey Sports Fan has returned in the post-Tebow Jets trade era! This is certainly another hilarious episode from the Jersey Sports Fan, although it’s a little more NSFW than usual thanks to our guy discussing the sexual preferences of Tim Tebow. Check out the episode and our favorite quotes below.

Tebow to speak at Cincinnati Christian University

New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow will talk about ''faith and football'' to a packed house at Cincinnati Christian University. School spokesman Steve Carr said some 2,000 people are expected to hear Tebow on Tuesday in a discussion in the school gym and at an evening fundraising banquet. Recently traded to the Jets from Denver, Tebow is known for late-game heroics...

A Sex Bounty on Tim Tebow?

A skanky website is on a mission to “out” Jets backup quarterback Tim Tebow. They’re offering one million bucks to any woman who can prove she’s had sex with the self-professed virgin. (As if a woman who would publicly admit to sleeping with someone for money really needed the money to sleep with said dude to begin with.) The website, Ashley Madison, has a reputation...

NFL Films: Tim Tebow is better than Earl Campbell and Marcus Allen

The NFL Network and NFL Films has done it again with one of their Top 10 lists. A few years ago, they made the decision to include both Syracuse and the MAC as football factories, while leaving Oklahoma and Texas off. Yesterday evening, they released their Top 10 list of Heisman Winners in the NFL [...]

Tim Tebow Will Be Great For The Jets

I think the Jets made a good move bringing in Tim Tebow. We know he can start if he has to, making him a great back up QB. The Broncos drafted Tebow in the first round then the Jets gave up a fourth round pick to get him, now you have two first round picks at QB. The perception of everyone outside of New York is that the Jets; the players and coaches are an evil organization. Timmy...

Don't leave NFL Network out of the ridiculous TebowMania overhyping game

Traditionally, it has been ESPN at the front of the Tim Tebow bandwagon.  This week, NFL Network came along and kicked Skip Bayless from out of the driver's seat with as transparent and gross of a ploy for ratings and buzz as you'll see from a network.  I love NFL Films, I grew up with all the bloopers VHS tapes and even have all the music downloaded in iTunes.  However...

Jets inform Tebow he’ll be playing on special teams

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the New York Jets have told back up quarterback Tim Tebow that they will be using him on special teams as a punt protector.  Sounds like a joke to me, but it’s unfortunately true. I guess the Jets were once again starving for attention, so they decided to make it known that Tebow will be playing on special teams.  If this isn’t a sign that...

Lin Runs For 1st Time Snce Surgery

After blowing up the sports world with an incredible two weeks of games, Jeremy Lin became an instant star. Once Carmelo Anthony returned to the lineup after injury, however, his production dropped significantly. Then, Lin suffered a knee injury that would require surgery and put him out for the rest of the season (barring an [...]

Does Amar'e Stoudemire Represent the Knicks' Playoffs X-Factor?

It’s not everyday that an NBA team’s superstar also fills the role of X-Factor.But with Amar’e Stoudemire having just recently made his return to the court, that’s exactly what he could represent.Overcoming obvious obstacles in the form of injuries to Stoudemire and Jeremy Lin, the Knicks powered through to a 9-4 record with both players sidelined. Thanks to an M.V.P.-like...

More gasoline added to the Tim Tebow-Mark Sanchez controversy in New York

New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan continues to tell the media at every turn that Mark Sanchez will be the starting quarterback in 2012. However, yet another unheralded player has managed to stir the pot during this offseason. Coming off an offseason with Alabama QB Greg McElroy telling stories about how the Jets locker room was operating at a dysfunctional level, another player has...
