From Dan Graziano:During his rookie season, while he was in the midst of losing his first six games as the New York Giants' starting quarterback, Eli Manning got an unexpected phone call. This was 2004. Jeter was an established New York superstar, owner of four World Series rings and on a Hall of Fame path. The phone call mattered because Jeter was someone Manning had been studying carefully. New York Yankees: Jeter Infection Spreads to Super Bowl

The Yankees captain Derek Jeter has always been quite the heartthrob, and not with just the ladies. It seems that the Jeter bug has hit Indianapolis this week, as not one but both Super Bowl XLVI quarterbacks admitted to having a serious man-crush on El Capitan. Peyton Manning's increasingly thorny relationship with the Indianapolis Colts -- will owner Jim Irsay pay $28 million to retain his injured four-time NFL MVP quarterback? -- threatened on Monday to strip the spotlight completely from Manning's Super Bowl XLVI-playing brother Eli, who arrived in town with the NFC champion New York Giants. Is Eli Now Elite?

Ok I’ll admit to being one of the (many) people who laughed when Eli Manning said that he considered himself as a quarterback in the same class as the elites of the game. At the time you really had to admire the guy’s confidence in his ability but he had never really been able to shake the tag of “Peyton’s kid brother” and all the connotations that go with that label. Sure...

Wilfork gives Eli some Giant props

Warner thinks Eli could be on top for a while

Kurt Warner isn’t the least bit surprised to see what’s become of Eli Manning and the explosive Giants offense. In fact, he thinks this might be only the beginning for them – especially if they can keep their young receiving corps intact.   “Any time you can get three wide receivers that can ...
