The Winnipeg Jets have activated Eric Fehr from injured reserve and he is expected to make his regular-season debut Saturday against the visiting Philadelphia Flyers.Fehr underwent offseason shoulder surgery and has traveled with the team since late-October. He was cleared for contact practice last week and appears to be ready to return to the lineup.Fehr, a Manitoba native, joined Winnipeg via trade over the summer after spending his first six years with the Washington Capitals.The 26-year-old had 10 goals and 10 assists in 52 games with Washington last season.

Dustin Byfuglien had a goal and two assists, and Andrew Ladd, Jim Slater and Nik Antropov also scored for Winnipeg. Little, Ladd and Byfuglien had power-play goals, and Slater scored short-handed.

Some one better put apply heat on Dustin Byfuglien as Evander Kane is more than willing to step up and take lead role when the spotlight is on a teammate. Kane had two goals tonight both of them from wicked shots but it's how he worked to position which is what should be noted.
Kane has a quick release wrist shot with impressive velocity, it flies hard but it flies high....

Brief recap:
It was another lackluster loss last night in Winnipeg. Alexander Semin and the Capitals got off to a hot start with an early goal for a 1-0 lead less than 5 minutes into the game. The Capitals checked out after that, routinely giving up on plays and leaving young goalie Michal Neuvirth to fend for himself. One has to wonder how long key players on this team can...
