Tim Tebow is expected to part ways with the New York Jets this offseason, but the team doesn’t plan on releasing the polarizing quarterback until the start of the new league year. In the meantime, the Jets will attempt to trade Tebow, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. The New York Jets do not plan to release quarterback Tim Tebow before the start of the new league year in March and instead will hold on to him with the hopes that they can trade him, according to league sources. However, Schefter adds that there “is not expected to be much interest” in Tebow. He was told by one NFL general manager that Tebow’s career is likely over without the quarterback agreeing to play another position. It was expected that the Jacksonville Jaguars would express interest in Tebow, but they are no longer in the mix. If he were to switch to a new position, it would likely be an H-back where he could be used out of the backfield and in the short passing game. However, Tebow hasn’t expressed interest in a move, as he hopes to continue his career as a quarterback.
