John L. Smith was let go as the head coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks today after losing to the LSU Tigers yesterday after some very poor coaching decisions. Smith is almost broke and the Razorbacks have been a complete let down this year and even lost to Louisiana Monroe.
John L. Smith is officially out at Arkansas.

Athletic Director Jeff Long had some words on the release of John L. Smith whose 1 year contract was up at the end of the season anyways. Expect to hear plenty of rumors of Jon Gruden coaching Arkansas and every other candidate you can imagine. Smith took over for Bobby Petrino who got in a motorcycle accident with a young female employee of the university.
Ark. AD Jeff Long: “I have great respect for Coach Smith and I thank him for the sincere commitment he has shown our program.”
