Fox Sports Houston:

HOUSTON Texans wide receiverpunt returner Jacoby Jones was never in danger of physical harm Sunday night, his agent, Kennard McGuire, told FOX 26 Sports.
McGuire was speaking in reference to various news reports that his client had received threats after his turnover in the first quarter proved costly in the Texans' 20-13 divisional playoff loss to Baltimore.
Jones muffed a punt that bounced off his facemask. The Ravens recovered at the Texans' 2 and then scored their first touchdown.
The agent said he did hear fans threaten Jones during telephone calls to local radio stations but nothing beyond that.
McGuire took no chances, however, and put someone in place to watch out for Jones.
"As his adviser I took it upon myself to make sure that there was someone in position to be around him and ensure that it was always a safe environment," McGuire said. "I took it upon myself just to have someone tail him, and he didn't even know it."
McGuire said Jones did not personally report any threats made against him.
"I can only go off the fact that what was stated on the radio," McGuire said. "All from the standpoint of people calling in on the radio making their statements of what they wanted to do. That's all I can attest to.
"He's fine. As matter of fact he's at home right now watching television."
McGuire also refuted reports that fans were burning Jones' No. 12 jerseys in the player's front yard.
Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said there was no excuse for Jones' mistake but never considered pulling him from the punt-return team.
