Injured Bruins Chris Kelly (fractured tibia) and Adam McQuaid (shoulder) both skated this morning at the TD Garden.  "Adam and I both skated this morning and it felt pretty good to be out there," said Kelly. Coach Claude Julien believes Kelly will be back before the end of the season which is in 27 days (14 games). Good news hearing that Kelly was able to skate and may be back real soon.  Trade deadline is quickly approaching, will be interesting to see what the Bruins do.

Tyler Seguin’s Shot-Happy Night Helps Bruins Acheive ‘Tremendous Tempo’ in Close Win Over Senators (Video)

The Bruins and Sabres combined for 97 shots Tuesday night, and it felt like Tyler Seguin was responsible for about half of them. In reality, the Bruins forward only had 12 shots to his name, but that aggressive play is certainly a positive indicator given the team’s recent offensive slump. Seguin scored once, Nathan Horton and David Krejci added goals of their own and Anton Khudobin...

Cam Neely Hints Jaromir Jagr May Won’t Be on David Krejci’s Line, But Doesn’t Rule Out Change

So the Bruins acquired Jaromir Jagr on Tuesday afternoon. Now what? Bruins president Cam Neely made his weekly radio appearance on 98.5 The Sports Hub just hours after the deal that brought the future Hall of Famer to Boston became official. Neely sounded happy with the ability to land a player like Jagr, who at 41, still appears to have something left in the tank. At the very least...

Bruins Back On Track After Win, Urgency Key Moving Toward Playoffs

Before Sunday, the Bruins had won just two out of their last seven games. The B’s are hoping Sunday’s 2-0 win over the Buffalo Sabres was just the spark they needed heading down the stretch of the regular season. While the win was not a cure-all for the team’s issues, it was certainly a step in the right direction. Coach Claude Julien admitted the B’s recent losses were...

GARTH: Caution: Angry Bears

You think the Boston Bruins are feeling festive on Easter Sunday? They've lost 5 of their last 7 games. The Bruins lost 3-1 to a listless Flyers team on Saturday afternoon. I watched the entire game and it looked to me like the Bruins were content to go through the motions of playing down to a weaker opponent. In their past four games, the Bruins have trailed 2-0....

Bill Meltzer: Meltzer's Musings: Small/Big Picture of Win vs. Boston, Huskins, Lauridsen

Yesterday's 3-1 win over the Boston Bruins was a gratifying and well-deserved outcome for the Philadelphia Flyers. An injury-depleted, struggling team received stellar goaltending from Ilya Bryzgalov on this day and the skaters pulled together to play a hard-working and determined game. On this day, a Flyers team playing with potentially its weakest blueline starting lineup...

Ty Anderson: Bruins acquire Jagr; Sens in Boston

After missing out on Michael Ryder, Brenden Morrow, and Jarome Iginla, you had a feeling that it was going to take an army of Ray Shero's to make it four straight strikeouts for general manager Peter Chiarelli and the Boston Bruins. But without the Pens to swipe in at the last moment (You'd hope -- strike that, pray), Chiarelli's fourth deadline attempt to bolster...

Kevin Freiheit: Sabres shutdown

After dropping two consecutive games in a shootout, the Sabres posted a goose egg on Easter Sunday as Boston came into the First Niagara Center and left with a 2-0 victory. David Krejci broke the scoreless game just past the midway point of the third period, which turned out to be the game-winning goal. Nathan Horton added some insurance a few minutes later, but the Bruins already...
