Free Agency Analysis: Coming off the worst season in NBA history the Bobcats had to improve, but they seem to be building through the draft and did not spend big on...
The Bobcats worked out Josh Howard this week. Rod Higgins, President of Operations confirmed this yesterday.
DeSagana Diop had this to say about Josh via twitter: “Heard my boy Josh Howard is looking like his old self in his workouts in Charlotte. Hopefully we get to sign him.”
Straight up, the Bobcats can’t wait to deal him. But nobody is sniffin and that’s a shame cause the kid is raw but so is his attitude. Silas couldn’t get to him, essentially he’s going to need a locker room full of vets surrounding him in order to settle him down and get the most out of his game.
Free agent swingman Josh Howard has reportedly been working out with the Charlotte Bobcats this week. This doesn’t come as much surprise as the veteran is a Winston Salem native, which could help boost attendance of the worst team in the NBA. What is a surprise is that playoff contenders like the Chicago Bulls and New York Knicks are also interested in his services.
The Bobcats are looking to add a forward to their roster.
Another former Charlotte Bobcat could be on his way to joining Boris Diaw in San Antonio Spurs training camp.
Unfortunately for Spurs fans and a majority of the Project Spurs staff, that player is not Tyrus Thomas.
Instead, the Spurs are scheduled to be working out Bobcats 2009 second round pick and small forward Derrick Brown, according to csnnw.com.
Donte Greene fractured his ankle during a workout on Saturday with the Charlotte Bobcats.
