It looks as if the Oakland Athletics are quite familiar with Dallas Keuchel at this point in the season.
Keuchel was knocked out in the fourth inning and the Houston Astros went on to a 7-5 loss on Friday night.
''I felt the slider was keeping them in check early in the count because they like to hack,'' Keuchel said. ''I can't live on the outside corner of the plate all day long. I just wasn't getting the call.''
Keuchel (5-9) allowed 10 hits and five runs in just 3 2-3 innings in his third start of the year against the A's. The left-hander is 0-2 with a 5.48 ERA in five appearances overall against the AL West leaders.
Josh Donaldson had three hits, including a two-run homer in the sixth inning, as Oakland jumped ahead of Texas in the division.
Jed Lowrie added two hits and two RBIs for the A's, who have won six of eight. Yoenis Cespedes and Nate Freiman had two hits apiece.
